Numbers seen elsewhere on reserve would indicate higher numbers present.) 2 Sandwich Tern (Possibly 3 over the estuary) Osprey (Approached from the direction of Alresford Creek chased by a flock of Avocet. Hovered briefly over the river in front of Robbies hide, then flew off lazily over Geedon saltings towards Mersea. Posts along Pyefleet Channel checked for perched bird but no sign.) 2 Buzzard (3 seen by another observer together with a Sparrowhawk) Whinchat [John Thorogood]
