Feb field trip

February's coach trip to Rutland Water has been cancelled and replace with a guided field trip to the fantastic RSPB Minsmere reserve on Sunday 13th February.

Put a date in your diary and come and join us as we explore this internationally important reserve with its diverse habitat. We'll be looking for winter waders on the scrape - tits, finches and woodpeckers in the woods - and passing seabirds from the beach. Species we may find include Bittern, Marsh Harrier, Bearded Tit, Whooper/Bewick's Swans, Winter Geese, Dartford Warbler and maybe something rarer such as Glossy Ibis or a white-winged gull. In the late afternoon we may be lucky enough to see a spectacular Starling murmuration that's always a good way to end a days birding.

This is a self-drive field trip - please note there is an entrance charge for non-RSPB members (£8 adults, £5.50 students, £4 children). Meeting in the main car park for a 9:00am start (Postcode IP17 3BY). We hope to see you all there.
