Best viewed from field edge. Access via the tennis club car park (which they are happy for birders to use). A message has been left for the farmer so please be respectful along the field edge which is private land )

Naze, The 17 Oct 2020 07:00 - 11:30 overcast first thing then some sun, light N wind, cool, flooding tide - some finch and thrush movement, mainly first thing Brian Combes 70 Goldcrest (+), 2 Brambling (1, below Sunny Point, 1 farm pond), 15 Song Thrush (Mainly west), 43 Redwing (Mainly west), 81 Goldfinch (Mainly south), 27 Chaffinch (Mainly south), 9 Siskin (South), 16 Lesser Redpoll (South), Chinese Muntjac, 2 Sparrowhawk, 2 Buzzard, 11 Meadow Pipit, 15 Skylark (West), 2 Cetti's Warbler (Singing, John Weston Reserve ), 42 Swallow (N, a trickle in small groups from mid morning on), 2 Green Woodpecker, Grey Heron (S), 3 Firecrest (2 with goldcrests, 1 below Sunny Point, 1 farm pond + one John Weston Reserve (in the hand, thanks to Simon and Pat Cox)), Dusky Warbler (East edge of cricket pitch in low scrub; initially calling from cover, then gave some brief but decent views before moving north into deeper cover. Did not call or show again, over the next half an hour or later in the morning.)
