Naze, The 12 Jan 2019 07:45 - 13:15 strong westerly wind, cool, mainly overcast - a surge tide has washed away much of the fencing around Stone Point Lagoon Brian Combes 2 Goldcrest, Sparrowhawk, 2 Buzzard (At least ), 3 Marsh Harrier, 2 Cetti's Warbler (1 singing), 7 Red-breasted Merganser (Off Stone Point), 2 Redwing, Green Woodpecker, Great Crested Grebe (Walton Channel), 23 Little Grebe (Walton Channel), 21 Avocet (Roosting at corner of Walton Channel), 2 Stonechat (Walton Hall Marshes), Black Brant (Feeding with many hundreds of Brents in fields to the east of Walton Channel)

No sign of raptors), Snipe (In flight with lapwings), Little Egret, 2 Great Black-backed Gull (One calling whilst being chased by black headed gull!), Chaffinch (Single female), Reed Bunting (either female or 1w male, not good view), 6 Blue Tit, 2 Great Tit, Dunnock (Calling), Robin (Singing)

One almost showing black hood (much flecked with white).), Kittiwake (Adult. Often perched on old jetty.), Razorbill (Quite close to end of pier.)
