Epping 09:35 to 09:40, Cloudy but bright
4 Waxwing (I was walking along Lindsey Street and was alerted by about five calls in fairly quick succession, coming from the trees in a garden behind a tall fence. I know Waxwing calls and this was clearly that. Then I saw four birds emerge and fly off south, and these were just right for Waxwing size and jizz, dark warm brownish. As it had been a while since I last heard it, I opened the Collins Bird Guide app on my phone and played the call - exactly as I'd heard it. I've no doubt about the id.) [Roger Emmens]
