Heybridge Basin 14:00 to 16:15,
2 Sandwich Tern (By the long island where the black headed gulls nest. Only a fleeting view as they flew behind me and over the sea wall towards maldon promenade. At first thought they were black terns as they appeared very dark against the sky but long black bills and large size would suggest sandwich terns. Very early in the year i know but if anybody got a longer look and can give a better i.d. l would be hapy to accept it.) [David Torrice]
