Mistley 12:15 to 13:00, Hottish, clear skies, little breeze. Tide partly up.
1 Osprey (Thanks to the birder who advised that it was still around. It flew in from Stutton Mill direction but remained on the north shore. Several terns harried it towards Cattawade. It returned and went down on the old BX Plastics area. Later sighting from the Co-Op of it flying over the Walls after which it disappeared. Did not attempt to fish at all.) 1 Knot (Only one seen but reports from others of more) 1 Black-tailed Godwit (Not counted but lots!) 1 Curlew Sandpiper (One only noted) 1 Redshank (Many amongst Godwits, not counted) 2 Oystercatcher 7 Turnstone (Amongst Godwits, not counted) 20 Little Egret (On islet across from Co-op,) 25 Cormorant (On islet across from Co-op,) [Paul Saward]
