11 Green Sandpiper (Various locations) 7 Common Sandpiper (Various locations but most frequently on S. section of long walk) 8 Whinchat (Possibly 9 or more. Very active hunting the grass along the fence that runs N. from the most easterly stile on the long walk S. section) 7 Ruff (Pennyhole bottom - may have been more - count interrupted by juv. peregrine) 37 Avocet (Pennyhole bottom) Peregrine Falcon (Juvenile, terrorised waders on Pennyhole Bottom before landing on the exposed island in front of the first viewpoint for several minutes) Whimbrel (In flight towards Tollesbury Wick) 40 Curlew (Approximately, large flock on Abbot's Hall are salt marsh) Marsh Harrier 400 Grey Plover (This is an estimate as there were large flocks sighted across virtually the whole reserve) 100 Ringed Plover (Approx - across the whole reserve) 3 Snipe (Irongate and McClure's marh) 60 Black-tailed Godwit (Approx.
